Lovin the big-girl chair!

Jamie found the cutest folding chair for Ariya; it was geared for 3+ year old but we all know that she's well advanced for her age. Ariya can now climb up and sit down without much help; and in the past week has grown a little bit so she can just back her little booty into the chair now without help from mommy or daddy.

It has become her new favorite spot to hang out with Pooh to watch her show, "Classical Baby", before bathtime.

August 2011 - Adventures in Babysitting!

On 8/6/11; the Rasmussen's got a taste of what it would be like to add another kiddo to the gang. We got to babysit little Jonah for a few hours and overall, I'd say the experiment was a total success!

Ariya played very nicely; there was only one moment of where we had to draw the line on who's nuk was who's & made sure that everyone had their own blankey!

2 Kids (for one night) was easy as pie!

First off; we have to say Thanks to Aunt Erin & her beau, Ken, for inviting us up for the holiday weekend!

Ariya loved every minute of our vacation. From the first day playing on the docked pontoon in the rain, splashing on the beach, boating with Buster - even fireworks didn't phase this girl!

Ariya Storm – 15 month update

On June 21st, Ariya had her 15 month check up with her new doctor, Dr Adamski. The good doctor gave Ari a rave review on her health, affirmed what we already new about her perfect physical health, growth and development.

Stats:
Height: 31 3/4 inches tall (84%)

Weight: 23 lbs, 15 oz (66%)

Favorite things to do: play with Winnie the Pooh (Dah Pooh); sing songs, watch Classical Baby, chase Daddy, walk down to our playground and play on the slide and swings; snuggles are still high on her list of favorite activities.

Favorite foods: Gold-Fish & Freezy pops - shared with daddy of course; fruit, cooked veggies, pasta with red sauce, cheese (chi), milk (baa-baa), juice (juoo), toast (toe), mac & cheese, hot dogs, fish, chicken... We do a lot of food introduction to her & we have yet to find something that she really hates.

1 year check-up stats

It's hard to imagine that one year ago, we were making our first family outing to visit auntie Trisha for Ariya's first photo shoot!

Today, we had her 1 yr check-up. She did great!

Weight: 21 lbs, 12 oz - 62nd Percentile

Height: 30.75 inches - 93rd Percentile

Ariya is 1 year old!!

What a year!!! Jamie & I can't believe that Ariya has turned one!!

We celebrated on February 26th in a combo-birthday party with Adam Horner, who turned one that week. Aunt Kristina made the most adorable Winnie-the-Pooh cakes for the babes!

She received so many wonderful, generous gifts from our family and friends.

Some noteable b-day loot: her Tea Party set from Grandpa Ed & Linda Horner (mommy has named the singing tea pot Mrs Potts in due respect for the Beauty & the Beast Mrs Potts) - the singing lawn mower from Kristina, Chris, Ian & Adam Horner - a Bity Baby doll from Nana & Papa Sweeney - Precious Moments figurines from Grandma & Grandpa Rasmussen and clothes, clothes, CLOTHES!

On March 12th, Ariya's official birthday, the 3 Rasmussen's spent some time together shopping and just hanging out as a family. Ari has her 12 month check-up on the 17th so stay tuned for updated baby stats later this week!

1st Valentines Day - 11 months old

Minne Mouse arrived right in time for Valentine's Day from Grandma & Grandpa Rasmussen along with a Minne cell phone & a cute new outfit!


Ariya was finally feeling better on V-day. She had been sick since Wednesday the 9th with her 1st ear infection (right ear) which caused a fever. Plus, teething on top of the being sick - tough week for the Rasmussen's! She is a trooper and managed to stay in good spirits for the most part even while sick!
