1 year check-up stats

It's hard to imagine that one year ago, we were making our first family outing to visit auntie Trisha for Ariya's first photo shoot!

Today, we had her 1 yr check-up. She did great!

Weight: 21 lbs, 12 oz - 62nd Percentile

Height: 30.75 inches - 93rd Percentile

Ariya is 1 year old!!

What a year!!! Jamie & I can't believe that Ariya has turned one!!

We celebrated on February 26th in a combo-birthday party with Adam Horner, who turned one that week. Aunt Kristina made the most adorable Winnie-the-Pooh cakes for the babes!

She received so many wonderful, generous gifts from our family and friends.

Some noteable b-day loot: her Tea Party set from Grandpa Ed & Linda Horner (mommy has named the singing tea pot Mrs Potts in due respect for the Beauty & the Beast Mrs Potts) - the singing lawn mower from Kristina, Chris, Ian & Adam Horner - a Bity Baby doll from Nana & Papa Sweeney - Precious Moments figurines from Grandma & Grandpa Rasmussen and clothes, clothes, CLOTHES!

On March 12th, Ariya's official birthday, the 3 Rasmussen's spent some time together shopping and just hanging out as a family. Ari has her 12 month check-up on the 17th so stay tuned for updated baby stats later this week!

1st Valentines Day - 11 months old

Minne Mouse arrived right in time for Valentine's Day from Grandma & Grandpa Rasmussen along with a Minne cell phone & a cute new outfit!


Ariya was finally feeling better on V-day. She had been sick since Wednesday the 9th with her 1st ear infection (right ear) which caused a fever. Plus, teething on top of the being sick - tough week for the Rasmussen's! She is a trooper and managed to stay in good spirits for the most part even while sick!

Such a wonderful first Christmas! We had a fantastic celebration - lots of toys, time spent with both families and just fun all the way around.

As you can see, Ariya really got into the whole tear off the bows & dig into the presents part of Christmas...

She was a little surprised at all of the fuss but had a fun time with her two Gargano cousins, the Sweeney's, her uncles Ryan and TJ and of course, the Horner boys.

1st visit with Santa!

Grandma Rasmussen took Ariya to visit Santa for the first time on 12/23/10. She was in a great mood, kept the line entertained and took a very cute picture!

Ariya's First Christmas

Ariya had her first Christmas party today at daycare. She got all dressed up and had a fun time!

We have a very busy weekend - pictures with Santa, Christopher's birthday AND Christmas Eve fun with the Gargano's followed up with Christmas Dinner with the Sweeney's.

9 Month Check-up Stats

Ariya had her 9 month well-baby check up on December 13th. This was 2 days after one of the worst blizzards in over 20 years. We spent the weekend snowed in & got ready for our first family Christmas. The tree (apptly named Stu) is up and decorated and cookies were made.

9 month Stats:

Weight - 19 lbs, 11 oz (67th percentile)

Height - 29 1/2 inches (97 th percentile)

6 Teeth - 4 on bottom, 2 on top

Eats 3 meals a day (baby food, finger food and bottles)

Loves juice, sweet peas, and pears

Baby Tricks:
Sitting up by herself, crawing with gusto, babbling (mamma, dadda, babababa, looooo, etc), lots of mimicing mommy with the "Dinner Dance", Indian howl, and clapping. Ari loves to explore but also really enjoys some alone time in her gated play area in the living room. She has all her friends in one spot, can still see mommy & daddy but no one trips over her! Win - Win.

8 months, 2 weeks old

Aryia has had a big month! Lots of babbling sounds, 3 teeth (all on the bottom), figured out how to sit up all by herself and now, CRAWLING!!

Ariya's First Blizzard!

On November 13th, 1 day after Ariya reached 8 months old, we had our first blizzard of the winter! We bundled the peanut up for her first experience with snow and had a pretty good time with her!

Happy Halloween!

Ariya had her 1st Halloween this past weekend!

We had a ton of fun playing with Christopher & Joseph in the leaves, helping the boys get ready for their big night out of Trick-or-Treating! Ariya was in charge of handing out candy... We'll go out with the boys next year!
