Baby's Big week!!

Ariya had many new adventures last week starting wih her first trip to the doctor. All went well - she weighed in at 8 lbs, 1 oz & grew 1/2 an inch since birth! Dr. Wanderman ssured us that Ariya is perfect & in great health. He was so pleased with her growth percentiles that we do not need to visit him again unil her 2 month check-up!

Other big steps this week were our first trip out to a restaurant - first outing with mom - first her first day out at the mall with mom & dad - first family 'party' - all sorts of good times!

Today, Adam, Granny & Auntie Kristina came over to have lunch with us...

First the babies ate - then the moms! Granny was very excited to have her newest grandson & her 1st great grand daughter in the same room.

The 3 of us took our first family adventure out of the house! We ventured over to Auntie Trisha's house for Ariya's first photo session!

Trisha told us that Ariya is the most mellow baby that she has had the pleasure of working with! We had a great time playing with baby & camera. I am sure that we will have many more fun sessions with Auntie Trisha!

She's finally here!

At 11:56 pm on March 12,2010 little miss Ariya Storm Rasmussen entered the workd via c-section at Fairview Southdale hospital.

She weighed 7 lbs, 12 oz & measured at 21 inches long. She had a mop of dark curly hair, a very lusty cry & big blue eyes. She had no trouble adjusting to live on the outside once she & mom finally met up in the recovery room.

After 3 days in the hospital, mom & baby were given the green light to go home with daddy. Needless to say, Monday was a very happy day for the 3 of us.

Every doctor, nurse & family member agrees - not only is she beautiful but she has a very sweet personality already.

Daddy falls deeper in love by the minute...Mommy is 110% smitten by this little one. Parenting is truely the best job EVER!!!!
